Lizzie mentioned that she's put the lovely photo her BIL sent her on her Photo Wall.

One of my SILs has dozens and dozens of family photos all the way down the stairs. It can take me ages to get up or down, because I keep looking at them, and spotting different ones.

What do you do with your photos and do you display lots of them or just special occasion ones?

I never had any photos around the house - family or otherwise - until DS1 and DIL1 got together. DIL asked me why and I didn't have an answer - it had just never occurred to me.

Not wishing to offend DIL I put a few - usually the latest - photos of our GSs in a cabinet, and have 4 pictures on my bookcase.

We currently have one canvas print of us all taken on our Golden wedding anniversary on the living room wall.

I have pictures of GC and one of GGS. on a chest in the SR, some of them are very old. I have pictures of my DD and Sil's wedding and my DS and his wife at their wedding, they look so young. I have a picture of me with GS1 and his wife at their wedding. I have an album of pictures of my OH on a bookcase which I touch and say goodnight to him as I go to bed. People don't take pictures anymore that you can display, they are all on their phones.

I will count up how many photos are currently on display (and that number would be higher were I not living with OH!)
Like Glamma so many are in albums, and many more on the phone, laptop and FB albums etc

Edited to say 53. That is throughout the whole house including hallway and conservatory, not just one room!!
3 are of cats, one is of me when young. The rest are all family. Lots of the GC , a couple of OH and me.

I have a lot on the "photo wall", all the family over the years, including myself. All in different type frames.
In here just the favourite of the grandchildren and some with photo's of my father, his family house etc and of my mother when she was a young girl.

When hubby was ill I made albums for both the son's of their photo's over the years.

When the children were little,we had all their school photos on the wall on the stairs.
We used to call it rogues gallery.
Over the years we got so many photos on the walls it started to look untidy.
Now,the majority of photos are in albums.
We have 2 in our bedroom of the GD's when they were born.
On top of a cabinet in the living room we have 2 from GD1's wedding from last march.
The other on the cabinet is the GD's taken in Howarth nearly 12 years ago.
That was taken when we went for DS1 40th birthday.
2 school photos on the wall in the hall of GDs.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I had forgotten, my DIL2 made up a multi-aperture frame of family photos a few years ago - featuring one of me and OH being silly, one of the dogs we had then and the others are combinations of GCs and their parents. That's on the landing.

My SIL's 'wall of fame' is a huge mixture - their own two adult children and their families, including now GGCs, our OHs' large family which is 5 siblings, other halves and GCs, plus their huge circle of friends living around the world. They lived abroad for 20 years and still went globe trotting and backpacking until Coronavirus put a stop to it. It's lovely to browse round it.

I have them all over the place. The formal ones from our cruise holidays are on the landing and like Plant when I go to bed I say goodnight to hubby and look at the photos.

Plant and Clover. My mum still says good night to my dad's photo each night. Their wedding photo was the one thing she was certain we should pack when she went to the care home.
