What is in flower in your garden?

It may not seem much yet, but the days are getting longer and even though the weather is very wintery, there are signs that things are improving.

What signs of of spring are there in your little acre?

Lots of daisies in the lawn, do they count? πŸ˜€. Otherwise, big fat buds on the hellebores, cyclamen doing well too.

About 3 little roses on a climber and something I don’t know the name of but I think it must be of the hellebore family. I will take a pic in the morning and maybe some kind soul can tell me!

Not on the balcony but whilst out cycling with GD1 on Monday I saw daffodils already in full flower.

I will go out and have a look today Daisy.
I know there are lots of daffodils looking ready to flower soon.

This is it. Please note the much darker and dangerous looking leaves. It just turned up last year!

Not Spring flowers but I have a winter flowering clematis, the small bell shaped flowers have kept flowering since November and have survived frost and snow. I have just discovered the sweet box is flowering and a polyanthus.

I have several daffodils in flower also snowdrops and some cyclamen. Two camellia plants are laden with buds, but I think they will still take a while until they bloom.

Grauntie - I think it is a hellebore foetidus. The dark green leaves are part of the plant. I think the first one in my garden just turned up, but I've bought several since as they survive the wastelands that I call a garden!

Grauntie - I was tempted to call it by its common name, but I thought you might dig it up and get rid of it, when actually it's an attractive plant, as long as you don't crush the leaves!

When I started this thread I intended to go round our garden and see what (if anything) is flowering, but haven't had chance yet, but when I collected Cooper from DS2's this morning I noticed their Camellia is covered in beautiful pinky-red flowers already. It really cheered up a wet, grey morning.

I'll have a look round our garden tomorrow.
