    Invasion !!!

After a "Mrs Goodwife Day" yesterday where I did all the wood floors and polished everywhere within my reach I sat down about 6.30pm for my evening meal and noticed a couple of flies on the big picture window going on to the front garden, finished eating and went for the spray by the time I came back out of the shed there where about 20/30 flies all buzzing about on the window just above where the broadband/telephone wire enters from outside the more I sprayed them more seemed to appear and they looked as though they where coming in from where the BB/BT come in its only the slightest hole right in the corner behind the curtain.
After nearly an hour I had managed to get rid of them by spraying them and plugging the said hole with kitchen towel (great DIY skills) I looked everywhere for sealant and couldn't find any in any of John's work boxes we must have some where as he would never have been without just can't find it,off to the DIY shop down the Road and he has given me some ready mixed filler so John's friend is coming here tomorrow to get it sorted for me,he and his wife my friend Lynn will have to be on my second bubble list would that be OK have I read the rules correctly. xx

I reckon it would be ok Glamma. It's something that needs to be done.

Glamm - you can have workmen (work people?) come to the house to do essential work, and I don't se any difference between that and your friends coming to sort out a problem like that. We had the 'wasp man' here to sort out a wasps' nest last week-end. I'm sure Lyn would count as part of the team.

The hole just doesn't look that big to be honest about the circumference of a normal size pencil its only just big enough to put the wiring through I'll have to wait and see what my pals husband says tomorrow and go from there if no joy it will have to be the HA and get their team out to inspect,I just hate anything with more than 4 legs urrrhh .

Glamm - the wasps were getting into my study from what looked like a pinhole sized hole in the ceiling - they don't need much space. I don't mind multiple legs, but not en masse like that in the house! Their place is definitely outside.

Oh that sounds horrible and quite alarming Glamma!

We can have other people beside bubble contacts into our homes now. Any two households can now meet inside, maintaining at least one metre distance when possible.

What a nasty experience Glamm, were they small flies or the large blow flies. There must have been something to attract them into the hole. Perhaps it was the polish!

Glamm - I've always thought polishing was a dangerous activity. Was Lyn's husband able to sort it out for you? xx
