The little things that pleased me today, my lettuce seedling are sprouting and also tomatoes. Strange how those little green shoots have brightened my day 🌱

Enfys - I know exactly what you mean. I greet every new little seedling with 'hello, please grow big and strong'. Daft, isn't it! xx

OH's tomato seeds are not sprouting. We got a reputable make and they were bought this year so well in date.
        Frustrating.

Nana - but mine haven't germinated either! And I murdered my lupin seedlings by letting them get too hot!

My toms took a while to germinate, but germinate they did.😁
Plant, I can’t wait to hear what grows!

Grauntie - well done to your toms. What variety are they?

I've sown some more today - Moneymaker and Yellow Delight. Keep your fingers crossed for them.

All crossed here Daisy.😁🀞🏻Mine are Gardeners Delight and a baby plum tomato that I scraped the seeds out of and smeared on to a piece of kitchen roll and let it dry to store it. I just lay the seedy paper on some seed compost and covered it with some more compost and watered it. I have many, many seedlings! 😁

Grauntie - thank you. Wow, well done on collecting and preparing your seeds yourself. I've never tried that with tomatoes.

Grauntie, I think I remember Clover doing that with tomatoes last year.

My tomatoes are doing well, more lettuce has appeared. My tomatoes are Alicante, I remember my FIL planting those, that’s why I chose them. I saved some melon seeds, dried and planted them....we shall see.

Enfys - well done. Alicante are a tried and tested favourite, and how lovely that your FIL also grew them. Good luck with the melon seeds.

Enfys pleased to hear your seeds are growing.

Well done Grauntie, never tried that. I have never grown tomato plants from seed. always bought plants.

Baked bean seeds GD planted are all rotted I think. Too wet and warm for them. I will buy her a tin and pretend they are her seeds. I don't think it will fool her though.

All my seedlings are growing madly, even the melon seeds have sprouted. We will be OK for lettuce and tomatoes πŸ™‚
