A few years ago I asked the question about "deeper" sized double fitted sheets and went off to Dunelm and bought 3 in colours that would match all my bedding sets,my bed is rather high off the ground and I would like a fitted valance sheet but cannot find one anywhere that is deep enough !! I could obviously just use a base valance and just change the top sheet when needed, but the mattress is so so heavy to lift when changing the base even if I leave it on for a few weeks I would love a fitted sheet with a valance so the bed looks tidy and "finished off" if that makes sense.

Do you sew Glamm ?
I used to buy sheeting and make my Valance's ,
My spare bed has a box valance Strip I made and its attached to the base with Velcro . I machined one side to the box valance and the other side is stapled to the base , just pulls off to wash no base material so easy to doIm not fat just 6ft too small

Oma - that's a very good idea.
Glamm I know what you mean - we've got a valance on our guest bed and the mattress weighs a ton! I started to use it when the GSs were little as there are drawers underneath and I didn't want them to trap their fingers in them, but really I could just give up on it now.
Have you tried John Lewis? I think their bedding is brilliant, but I don't know about valance sheets."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
