I like the smell Qwerty, but it is probably, just a matter of personal taste

Yep they stink , I wouldn't have them in the house but they look so bright and vibrant in tubs
Mind you I find a lot of flowers are not pleasant , Lillies give me Migraine I can smell them yards away , Daffs stink too although they are lovely , Sweet William is another one I don't like the smell off

No sense of smell but we won't have lillies in the house they make DD breathless and give me a headache. Family always said they didn't like the smell of Chrysanthemums.

Geraniums always remind me of my junior school on hot summer days. They used to line the windowsill. Lilies are really overpowering and make me feel queasy. My favourites are roses and sweet peas.

I love the smell of geraniums it reminds me of my dad
. He used to plant some in planters which would sit either side of the front door step and as a child myself and my sister used to sit there on a sunny, hot afternoon /evening after school . Happy days

Mimi, I'm glad someone beside me likes the smell
Smells can really bring memories alive, like those happy one of your dad.

Amazing how certain scents can take us back in time.

I like the smell too. The only smell I dislike is from a Ribes (flowering currant). It smells just like tomcat’s wee. Salvia doesn’t thrill me either.

Being without transport, I have ordered some geraniums from Jersey Flowers, they should be here soon.

Why do I dislike geraniums I have never liked them and always give them a wide berth when we go to stock up on bedding plants.
Does anyone know the correct name for Livingstone Daisies please I have been looking for them for weeks and just can't find any in any of the garden centres,my dad used to have them in his front garden and they looked beautiful and I loved the way they opened up when ever the sun was on them then closed when the sun passed over.

They are called Mesembryanthemums, they close up when it is not sunny

Thank you so much for that Plant,I must have some for my garden as they remind me so so much of my dear dad,he bought them years ago when he first bought our family house with a big garden and the name of the Road was Livingstone it was the name which caught his eye I used to watch them open up as the sun came around to the front of the house.
I am going to the big Garden Centre in Port Sunlight to-morrow where I'm sure I will find them,I have every intention of planting some on the family plot at the cemetary so he will be close to his favourite little flowers.
