In July - I returned a top to Kaleidoscope.

When was the last time you cleaned out your fridge?

When was the last time you knitted something?

Many years ago. I was 17 and decided to knit myself a long red scarf. It was not a success.

When did you last eat cucumber?

have not knitted a thing for years. I started a couple of times 20 years ago but last completed item was probably about 35 years ago. Same with crochet although I was very good at it at the time.

Gem - cheese and cucumber sandwiches day before yesterday, with the crusts cut off! Eye test was last year. We go regularly because of husbands eye problem, I expect you do too?

I last had roast chestnuts when we went to that ship hotel near the Excel Centre a couple of years ago. You could smell them as soon as you got off the tube. It was really cold and we sat on a concrete bench getting cold bums and ate them out of newspaper. It was glorious despite the cold.

Question: how often do you buy fresh flowers?

In Spring, daffodil, season every week. The rest of the year it varies, but I would say at least once a month.

When was the last time anyone sent you flowers?

Was sent flowers on wedding anniversary in May and also had some from a friend this year from Next (you know who you are). Also husband bought me a beautiful bouquet just before Christmas of lilies, Eucalyptus and gold twigs but they were not sent, he brought them in himself. I always have fresh flowers, I think it is a hangover from the days of owning a florist. Usually spray carnations as they hold up well with central heating but love spring flowers and sun flowers, eustoma, iris ...... well almost any flowers really

Question: do you experiment with cooking?

Qwerty - don't give up on us!!

My answer to Zizi: yes all the time. Every time I cook it's an experiment.

My question to the next person: When did you last count sheep to get to sleep?

I don’t think I ever have counted sheep. If I am sleepless I will put tv on and watch BBC News. Husband is heavy sleeper and I put it on sub titles and low sound so he doesn’t notice. By the time tv decides to turn itself off I am fast asleep.

When did you last write letter and send in the post rather than attach to an email?

We get lots of butterflies in our garden, we have a “wild bit” that attracts them. It is a relatively small garden but we feel happy to have it as we are in a flat and when we were looking to move (forced) Having access to a garden space was something that was quite important. I cannot specifically remember when I last saw a butterfly but it was in the summer.
