    Marriage Allowance/Income Tax

From February 2015 married couples can register at www.gov.uk/marriageallowance for the transfer of up to £1,060 unused income tax allowance from their spouse/civil partner. This could mean the princely sum of up to extra £212 per year to fritter away. However the registering is very simple and worthwhile doing if you are in that fortunate position.

Well it might as well be in your pocket as in the government's pocket

I am afraid I shall not be in that position for some time if ever! don't get me started............

I agree though, if it is there then grab it with both hands. Plenty of people are in receipt of benefits and allowances for which they have not contributed a penny (2 members of my family immediately spring to mind don't get me started on that either!).

Haven't heard about this, as Qwerty says better in your pocket than the government.Good luck to those who are eligible.

Good luck to those who qualify I hope everyone entitled claims it, £200+ or not it is better in their hands than the tax mans .They would probably just ajust the tax code so really would you see much difference ?
