    P&P

Talking to a friend today she was telling me about her DD who ordered something and the P&P was £4.99 but could have it delivered to her local shop free , she opted for free delivery , the best part of this is she lives opposite the local shop , the delivery driver parked outside her door took it over the road to the shop ,the shop keeper rang her to say it had arrived she went for it delivery driver was still there and he carried it back over the road for her as he was going to his van anyway . What is the point of charging P&P so close to a free pick up point . Her DD said her and shop keeper had a good giggle over it 😀

    Oh that's hilarious Oma!!!

I opt for Click and Collect, unless there is free delivery. I'm not lucky enough to live opposite the shop though

I use click and collect if I can have it delivered to my local post office, which is only one street away.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I only use click and collect if it's a small parcel, otherwise I opt for home delivery.

I use C&C for John Lewis, but for most things collection points aren't close enough to make it worthwhile or have limited opening hours making it impractical. The joys of living in the back of beyond.

I use C and C from JL all the time as a have a Waitrose just five minutes away. I use Amazon but always try to go for the free P&P if possible. I discovered that Argos do a shop online collect at store system which is very good. We have a very small Argos in a local DIY store which is really easy parking and fairly close. I ordered online in the morning and collected at store in the afternoon. This was on a Sunday too. How things have moved on now we have the internet.

Although we live in a village it is just off the ring road, and you turn left at the roundabout to drive a couple of miles to one shopping park, and right for the other, so collecting is easy for me Go straight ahead at the roundabout and town is just under 4 miles. I don't C&C there though, expensive to park, and no parking near shops!

I use ebay a lot as you all know and use C&C quite a lot and use Argos which is quite local to me,to be honest it takes me longer to find a parking space than actually parking as it is a very busy Retail Park, they also have a Next Outlet which if I order before 10am can be collected most times after 4pm ideal if you have an emergency such as I did last week for DDs birthday surprise which I forgot to order in time.

John Lewis, on one of the retail parks near us, has a whole row of Click and Collect parking spaces right next to the store! They have parking at the front and side, so lots of space to do this. Their car park will never be full!
