    Tricount

    Has anyone used this app?
I first used it when the 3 DDs and I had a weekend in Edinburgh few years ago.
We used it for last years Florida family holiday and again this month for the Portugal holiday.

It is an easy way to keep track of finances when travelling with a group. It doesn't matter who pays for meals, ice creams admission tickets or anything. You just enter it onto Tricount, and who it is for and Tricount works out all the balances. At the end of the trip you see who owes how much to who. This time we owe no one anything and we are owed about £150.

It is easy. When we shared airport parking with DD1 and we paid I just entered it on Tricount to to shared between our 2familes. When we paid for the group meal, I entered it to be shared by all 4 families.
I was suspicious of it at first and a bit confused by how it works. I am a big fan now however

The solution for organizing group expenses - Perfect when you organize group activities like trips, holidays, meals or when you share flat expenses with roommates

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

An excellent App for groups. DS introduced us to a Revolute which enables you to load money on to it and then it automatically converts to the local currency. So you have no bank charges. It’s fairly new so if we spent something, however small, for three consecutive days we got £10 back. A real bargain. Well worth it for anyone going abroad.

Sum1 I read about Revolute on a forum I used when planning our last Florida holiday.
I haven't used it but will look into it next time as you had a good experience of it.

I haven't heard of Tricount, but it sounds a great idea.

My DS2 set up a Revolute account when GD1 started secondary school - she uses it for school meals, snacks, odd expenses etc. Before they went away DS gave both girls spending money via Revolute and GD1 used it to pay for both her and GD2's purchases.
