Pensions Increase

I got a rather official-looking letter, marked "Important" today. It was from the Pensions department informing me that I have received an increase in my State pension.

How exciting! Then I read on - it's all of 25p a week. Honestly!

So after some thought on what to do with such largesse I decided I'd save it up for 4 weeks at a time and buy a stamp. I'd even have a bit of change. Errr ..., no, a first class stamp now costs £1.10.

So I'm looking for suggestions - all legal ideas will be considered!

Honestly, it's a joke isn't it, what on earth can you buy for 25p ? Even a supermarket basic packet of paracetamol is 39p

I know we're joking about this, but more seriously, I do think there's something badly wrong with a system which allows such nonsense. Probably several times that 25p (£13 a year) must have been spent on the admin to get the letter sent.
