    OH officially a pensioner!

Today my OH becomes eligible for her state pension.
Not paid in today, but at least it will be soon.
We don't know how to get the free bus pass, but will look into it.
With recent unplanned expenses of many months of vets bills for 2 cats and a new car to buy, plus the (planned ) expensive holiday this year any extra is very welcome 😊

Is it S's birthday? Both will be a very welcome addition to the extra expenses Gemini.

No her birthday is in May Plant. You get it a couple of months before your 66th birthday at the moment. I get mine in March.

Gem - I'm sure it will be a great help, and you're not far behind. It's awful when you plan your spending carefully and then things happen which you couldn't have foreseen. I hope you're planning a little (inexpensive!) celebration for OH's Official Pensioner Day.

Congrats to S becoming an official pensioner. A bit of extra in come always welcome. Pensions are paid in arrears. I got mine 3 weeks after it was due.

              OH's buspass arrived today
She found the online application easy to do, and the pass arrived within a few days.

Not sure how much we will use ours Plant having a car each, but as you say, nice to have the option.

Until now it has cost us almost £10 for the two us us to go to town and back by bus, so it will be halved for a couple of months if we use the bus, then free once I get mine.
