    Will Aid

Get a professionally written Will with Will Aid, the charity Will writing scheme. With Will Aid, everyone benefits. You get a professionally drawn-up Will and peace of mind, while the charities receive much-needed donations for their vital work.

I talked about this and l posted a link in Chatbox last week.
Practicing what I preach I am putting it here where more people will see it and it can be found again.

OH and I are taking advantage of this this year. Our wills are being drawn up at the moment
It is too late for this years allocation, but this takes place every November.
My oldest daughter told me about it a couple of years ago, as she and her OH used the facility.
It saves you some money and you will benefit charities if you choose this.

There were no solicitors in our town taking part, so we had to go to the nearest one.

Gem - we're in the process of doing our wills, too. It has to be done!

I know some people find it challenging, but I'd rather make sure everything was in order to save problems for the family later.

We did ours earlier this year. Now looking in to Ever Lasting Power of Eterny(spelling?) Must get it done for Mam too while she's still understanding things.

I have power of attorney for my mum GJ. All I use it for is to take charge of her banking, but it is in place, if things should change and I have to make decisions on her behalf.
OH and I should get that sorted for each other next!

GJ......did you know there are two types of Power of Attorney? Health and finance. We've got both and our wills are up to date too. We found it easier to get POA done by a solicitor than do it ourselves. Our neighbour's family did it themselves and had no end of problems. OK it costs to be done professionally, but at least there's no hassle.

WeeGranny, I agree. it's much better to hand the job over to the experts. It's so easy to have unintended consequences.

Now you're married, Gem do you and Sue need it, or are you thinking when there's only one of you and you need to arrange it with others?

Hubby wants to look at doing it ourselves first, then we'll go to the profesionals , LOL

Oh that is true GJ, maybe we don't! My friend and her OH did this a couple of years ago and I was the witness , but they are not married.
