    Bonfire Night

Will you be going to a bonfire, or fireworks display?
I know they are very frightening for pets, and I disagree with them being let off night after night from October onwards, but I do like fireworks.
We never do anything ourselves for bonfire night, but have occasionally gone to a display.

I doubt we will this year, as with November 5th being a Sunday I think most events will be on Friday or Saturday. We are babysitting on Friday night, and out for a meal on Saturday night.
We usually make do with seeing some in the sky through the window!

We won't be going to any display, but, if its not too cold we do tend to light the Chiminea and sit out side with a hot drink, wrap ourselves in a throw and watch the neighbours fireworks . ( Did any one say cheapskate ?)
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Well no invites yet lol but my Dd always decides last minute anyway, DS have friends round Saturday night so will FaceTime, there is an organised display in our local park but it’s cold and muddy, might make some Parkin and I do like to watch fireworks from the window, my sil lost his son on bonfire day he was 4 had lots of problems so each bonfire night he goes to the cemetery and lights a rocket for him breaks my heart for him 😢 he would have been 26 now

Qwerty - that is sad, and I know it's something you would never forget, but being on a day when most 4 year oldss are celebrating Bonfire Night makes it worse, somehow.

We won't be doing anything other than whatever it takes to stop Eva having a heart attack - probably Friday, Saturday and Sunday! OH is out all day Saturday, but I'm hoping he'll be back before it's dark.

So sad Qwerty, lovely idea though.

Id forgotten it was Bonfire night, we shall watch from the conservatory, there’s usually a few going off round and about, Used to take the children to a public display many moons ago but I think that’s stopped now. I think of all that money going up in 🔥 flames.

ooh, that’s clever, when I typed flames 🔥 the picture came up!

We will not be moved here. There is a display at a local beach from the Round Table, but as oldies we are excused duties. The chimnea sounds a super idea Mimi, I may do that too.
