Oh for the days when I waited for the postman hoping an ardent admirer had sent me a card.

My son obviously doesn't take after his father. My DIL is in Australia and she posted on Facebook today that she found a card between her clothes when she unpacked. Some of his friends have left funny messages.

I bought him a very nice warm coat and a cheeky card. I know a warm coat is not romantic, he just needed one. He bought me a beautiful hand tied of purple tulips and a card. Then after all of that I had to go to town for a meeting. I got completely lost trying to find the hostel we were having the meeting in, walked for 45 minutes before I found a cab, got home at 6.15pm to a lovely gin and tonic. We have had our starter and just waiting for our rack of lamb to finish resting and will then open a bottle of champers.

We don't do anything, he often buys me flowers on other occasions.
