I don't like the trick or treaters Oma, think it must be quite alarming for oldies living alone. Sorry we lock our side gate by 6pm. Organised events Im fine with, but random door knockers I am not. My own GD's don't do it but may go to an organised event.

We don't get a lot Libra never after 7 ish but I love to see them , we have several elderly neighbours and all of us who open the door tell them not to knock on certain doors , they always with parents anyway , This will be the first year DD hasn't had a Halloween party GS1 is getting to old and going to a party with his football friends so no dressing up for us this year 😩

We are ready for the trick or treaters. Around here they don't knock unless you have some welcoming sign. We will bring everything in before 8.
Sadly my own GC live too far away to drop in Trick and Treating.

We had lots of children at the door yesterday, but none tonight.

GD1 was very fed up that there were no Halloween celebrations at school today, especially since GD2's playgroup had had a Halloween party.

We had some really tiny tots with their parents , they looked so sweet all dressed up . One can't have been more than 18 month he came toddling up the drive with a bag bigger than him and said TA when he picked his sweets , I could have hugged him he was so cute , Another group of 6 came with 3 ladies they were all special needs children between the ages of about 8_12 and we're very excited to be trick or treating , all well behaved if a little loud , I thought it was lovely of their carers taking the time to get them all dressed up and bring them around the doors . I bet they sleep well tonight 😊

We had lots of little visitors, all dressed up, all with parents who waited at the end of the drive, in view. All said thank you and were polite. Only one group came without adults. 5 boys, maybe 10 years old. They didn't grab the sweets and said thanks, their parents would have been pleased
At 7.15 there was no one in sight, and we wanted to relax and eat our meal, so we brought everything in and switched off the outside light. Plenty of happy children, plus a few sweeties left for us, a successful Halloween

Not one! None. Zero...I thought we would get some little scary people here so I bought a bag of fun size treats. OH was very pleased and munched his way through the bag.🙄

LOL ,a bonus there then GM
Maybe it is like where I live - they don't come unless you leave lights or some outward sign that you welcome them? The last 2 Halloweens we didn't, and no one came. This year we made the house visibly Halloween Friendly and had lots!

I always have my Halloween Dec's up outside and in the window so they know to knock and leave the porch light on 😀
