Qwerty - well, I don't think I'll be dancing round any maypoles, or dressing any wells. More likely trying to get weedkiller on the lawn or sweep the patio. It's a pity all these Bank Holidays come so close together, then after the one at the end of May there isn't another till the end of August, then nothing again until Chris........ - OOOOPS ........some time in December. We go through the 3 main summer months without a long week-end.

I'm working Monday afternoon. Now OH is retired and me almost, Bank Holidays aren't as important as they were. We prefer to go out other days
You're right about the weather Qwerty, flipping awful it has to improve soon.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

No plans either. Retirement makes bank holidays fairly irrelevant really. I wish the weather would improve though as a nice long walk on the seafront would be welcome. Sunny today but still cold and very windy. No better tomorrow. *sigh*Be careful when blindly following the Masses.

Happy May Day everyone. My lovely dad would have been 99 today.
Just managed to plant up a hanging basket and sow some pansy seeds before the rain arrived!
So it's indoors for me now, I've just made coffee for our new neighbours who are busy decorating before they move in and now it's time for feet up with my coffee!Bring me sunshine in your smile.

When you don't work the bank holidays don't make any difference, in fact, we try to avoid going where there will be lots of traffic etc. Today, 1st May is my younger Sons birthday and he will be 30, I can't believe it! We are going to elder Sons for tea and cake to celebrate eldest gs who was 3 on 25th April and younger DS birthday.Grandmothers are just antique little girls - author unknown

Annual Scarecrow Festival in our village all this weekend (we haven't entered this year) I feel sorry for all the families trailing by in the wind and rain under umbrellas. We will wait until tomorrow and have a look if its a better day.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
