    Happy Valentines Day!

        Thank you. I got thirty pink double tulips, hand tied with raffia. We had a florist shop for years and hated how the prices went up for anything red. We had no choice but to put our prices up of course. Tulips are such beautiful flowers especially now they are not so one dimensional. Mine are frilly and very pretty. What people do not understand about tulips is that you need to ensure they are in deep room temperature water in a light place, and they will grow in the water. Each stem has a different way of growing so when you put them in a vase at the same length a little later some will have grown above the others. You also need to rotate them as they love the light. They create their own display. There is my artistic side.......

          Thank you admin for the lovely card, and thank you Zizi, I didn't know any of that. No cards here but a red rose from our lunch host. We had a progressive lunch today and puds and coffee etc. for all (60) were at our house. It was a very jolly day, and all hosts are now knackered. 😌💤

                Yes I did Zizi. We belong to 41 club and Tangent (old Round Tablers and Ladies Circle) which is very acitive here. This is always a good event. I didn't have to do much, just organise cheese etc. as others brought puds. Every one pays and we are recompensed. We've been doing this kind of thing for years and everyone mucks in.

                  GM, that sounds like fun I'm not quite sure we would fit 60 in here! We had a Halloween party for just over 20 not long after we moved here, and that was a houseful
