We don't do anything in particular. Sometimes one or the other of us gets a card, and this year I saw a book OH would enjoy. It arrived last week, so I kept it for today, and marked it "with love from Waterstones"!
DS1 and DIL used to make a big occasion of Valentine's Day and I know DIL will be sad today. I've got her a big bunch of daffodils and gypsophila to take tomorrow. Just to say "love you".

Grauntie, my mum and dad never did. Once I married, aged 21 I presumed that was that.
My then OH presented me with a card on Valentine's Day , 3 months after our wedding! I had to make him one as I hadn't bought one.
After that we always exchanged cards, and my present OH and I the same.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

We always celebrated our DSs birthday so it was never our day,
I think before he was born when we were younger we might have ,
I Wouldn't pay the price for flowers on Valentine's I would rather have them at another time , same with mothers day , I love getting flowers but I don't want some big over priced bouquet.
I remember Tizzy telling us when they had a florists, they kept Roses in cold storage from November onwards because they are cheaper to buy in then, that's why they don't last .Im not fat just 6ft too small
