Halloween 2023

I have decorated for Halloween. Not as much as I would if the kids would be here, but I have done some.
I don't think I can supply anything for Trick or Treaters this year. I don't want to be up and down to the door and as OH doesn't approve she won't go.

I may leave sweets in my Trick Treat bowl on the doorstep for a couple of hours though.

Gem, I'm sure you will be having a rather quieter Halloween than usual, but I'm sure a trick treat bowl on the doorstep will please a lot of young trick or treaters.

Just got our decorations down ready to go up ,
We we’re saying because of the weather we might not get many visitors but we are prepared if we do
Lots of treats ready.
The sweets that get left B will eat he loves his sweets

It's sunny here at the moment, but the rain is due to start about 3 pm! Not great timing.

Had a lovely lot of little ones , started about 4.30 dwindles off about 7.30

As predicted the rain started just after 3 o'clock. I was out with Eva and we got thoroughly soaked. She kept shaking herself and glaring at me as if to say 'stop chucking water at me'! We got back from picking my car up about quarter past 5, and there were several small children, with parents, in our cul de sac. OH spoke to one of the mums and said come back in a few minutes when we've got our coats off etc. But they didn't reappear, which isn't surprising since it was raining hard. Oh dear, it looks as though we will have to eat all the treats ourselves!
