Nothing much spoooooky going on here I’m afraid, but I will look forward to pics from family who will no doubt be trick or treating. I love all the spooky stuff.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Like you Oma I have the hall decorated, and the outside to do later in the day. As my 6 year old grandson will be here for the day I have put some decorations around the house too. We have a big bowl of sweeties ready in the kitchen.
There are lots of families in our village (3 primary schools!) so Halloween early evening is busy. It is an unwritten rule that you only knock at door where there is some sign of Halloween. Once all our sweets are gone, or we want to settle down and not answer the door, we bring in the pumpkin and switch off the outside light.
I hope those who enjoy Halloween enjoy it, and those who don't are undisturbed tonight!

Happy Halloween everyone.
We put lights out for trick or treaters, but don't do any other decoration or dressing up. The children around us are quite young and arrive in groups with watchful parents hovering in the background. We don't like sweeties, so have fun size chocolate bars - in case there are any left!!!

We don't celebrate as such but I have always had a small selection of fun sweeties ready just in case any little ones knock,we are a cul de sac of retirement bungalows so really the children do not venture here as we are tucked away.
DD had gone to work dressed as Mortisha for the day, long black wig streaked with white worn this morning when her dad went to pick her up he had to look twice when she came down the path to his car.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

It must have been a good disguise then Glamma
Daisy, OH adores Haribo. In our Trick or Treat bowl we have mini bags of Haribo, mini chocolate bars and little chocolate pumpkins, so we are happy with whatever, if anything, is left
Most of the children arrive with parents who wait at the gate, with just a few groups of older kids by themselves. We bring everything in around 7pm, so perhaps if we didn't we would get more groups of older kids and teens.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Nanto - they've all been at our door!! We usually get two or three little groups, but this year we've probably answered the door 8 or 9 times! It was hard to recognise those children we do know - their costumes were amazing. They were all very polite and when we suggested to one little boy that he took another little chocolate bar he said,'no thank you'! They all said 'happy hallowe'en' and 'thank you'. OH was beginning to worry that there'd be no chocolate left for him!!!
We had several werewolves that would have scared Eva without even trying!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

LOL, Oma, that was a good one
We had lots of little witches, vampires, skeletons and ghosts. All polite and said thank you.
When we went out to do our trick or treating, GS, DD and I, we left the bowl of sweets and a note to help themselves outside. OH is not a Halloween fan so I didn't want her to be having to answer the door.
GS was a skeleton and got a lot of sweets from houses which were, as GS puts it Celebrating Halloween!
