    It's another bank holiday!

They come thick and fast at this time of year.
Are you doing anything on this bank holiday Monday?
We have grandchildren overnight tomorrow so they will still be here for part of Monday. Then I need to go and visit my mum, so just an ordinary day here,
We are meeting a friend in town for an early evening meal though.

Nothing planned here, Gem. OH is doing a car boot sale with a friend at some ungodly hour tomorrow, and we could do with getting the runner beans planted on the allotment. Plus I could do with a week sorting out the garden! Tuesday of course is back to normal Grandma duties for both GDs, and I'm having my hair cut on Wednesday morning.

A lot of rain overnight and earlier but the sun is out now. Nothing planned, we’ll just go with the flow.

A quiet day for me, not sure what the family are doing next door.

It turned out to be not a quiet day.

I have been to the Bordeaux Wine Festival but sadly it was not in France but right here on the River at Albert Dock, the River Festival has been in full swing since Friday and we have been treated to some wonderful examples of ships in the docks.
The Wine Festival was the first time it had been held here the scenario was to pay £21.99 for a lanyard holding a sweet long stemed glass and then for 3hrs have the opportunity to taste up to 80 wines (not that I would try that of course) also to try some delicious French Canopies make by a top chef who works here in Liverpool so friend and I had a jolly afternoon to say the least after we had watched the floatilla leave The Pier Head on its starting point and off to Dublin.

Just enough to keep myself in an up right position
I did buy a really good full bodied Burgundy for under £20 which would have cost double in a wine shop.
