Grandchildren's Easter Holidays

Easter seems to be coming up at us at speed, and it seems school holidays this year are very spread out. Great if a family can get a holiday when it's less busy, but it can be difficult for grandparents caring for grandchildren, or for parents with children at school in different areas with different holidays.

My GS1 has over 3 weeks and broke up last Friday, GS2 has just over 2 weeks and breaks up today, while GD1 doesn't break up till next Friday, for 2 weeks. GD1 is already tired and her teacher said all the very youngest in the class are the same - it's been a long term for them.

What is happening with your school-age GCs?

All 4 finish next Friday Daisy, I am booked to have eldest 2 for a day on the 10th and younger 2 for 1 day yet to be decided. Youngest 2 and parents are off to the Lake District for a week,and eldest 2 to France at the end of their 2nd week,so a few days out of school in summer term. Apart from that no childcare for me. A welcome relief as I have painting to do in the bathroom.

Totally upside down for me this year! I will be having daily radiotherapy treatments , in another town, throughout the holidays, so not sure how much I will be able to have the children. The appointment times I have are, I am warned, subject to change anyway, so I'm not much help to DDs1 and 2 this time. Of course they understand and realise this is not of my choosing!

Ours don't break up till next Friday , DD is having a week off I think so will only have GS1 the odd day for one week
