What have your family planned for you on Mothers Day I have DD coming tomorrow I told both DD and DIL not to come on Sunday as they are mums themselves and especially dil as she is a new mum and to two ! DS says he will come Sunday but actually my OH treats me well on this day he always brings me breakfast in bed and cooks dinner. Having said this I want to send hugs for those on here who wont see their children for a variety of reasons xx

I wont be seeing mine either. I have decreed that it is now their turn to be spoiled by their families. I remember how difficult it was pleasing the mothers when they were alive. One lived in Yorkshire, one in Kent and we lived in Surrey.
I always felt guilty that it was not possible to be with them.
As long as I have a card (got one already), and a packet of seeds I'll be more than happy.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

We're looking after our GSs on Saturday night and staying there, so DIL1 insists on doing the full roast dinner bit on Sunday. If we had been at home DS2 would have taken us out to lunch. But I really don't expect them to do anything because I dont "mother" them now!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

As I still have a mother, I do the 'spoiling'! We used to go out as family, but at mums age she doesn't really like that now.
I do a roast lunch here. This year DD1 and GS, and DD3 are coming for lunch as well . DD2, SIL and GD will call in in the afternoon, and into SILs mum too. I don't expect to see my daughters on Mothers Day, but I do love it when I do“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Lovely pot of Hydrangeas my favourite as I lost two beauties in the winter of 2010 with all that snowSafely in conservatory now until proper Spring and then gently out until hardened up, although they are hardy plants, I am not going to take any risks. OH took me to lunch and the GK's went with their parents to a huge playpark 60 miles away. Also, I had a lovely card, with a photo of the two girls, always something to treasure.
