    Any Mother's Day plans?

Mother's Day almost passed me by this year!
Not having a mum or MIL ( in common with the majority of us here) I hadn't realized when it was. I respond to those emails from Tesco and the like who ask if you prefer to not receive emails about the day so I don't get those.

Anyway, I do now know it is this coming Sunday, as DD2 is hosting a family afternoon tea

The clocks go forward the night before as well.

I think we are having breakfast out with the family ,
To be honest I'm not bothered.
We took a card and flowers to MIL this morning and she said the same it's just another day.

It's very rare we all get together for Mother's Day, but everyone is free this year so I'm looking forward to it

I messaged GS1's dad at the beginning of the week and asked him to help GS sort a card and little present for his mum for Sunday.

Gem, you'll all have a lovely day, I'm sure, and so will y ou Oma. You always enjoy being with the family.

We had planned to go to DIL1's and out for lunch with her mum, step-dad, step mum and our GSs, but we've cried off, not knowing how I will be after the hospital trip tomorrow. But DS2 and DIL2 will come over either Saturday or Sunday to bring Eva back, so it will be good to see them and the GDs.

No idea what I’ll be doing! I have an appointment with an oral surgeon on Saturday morning so I think I might be imbibing painkillers rather than champagne!!

Champagne is a good healer WG.

Nowt going on here. I insisted the DDs spend it with their children. No doubt they will come today which will be lovely.

WeeGranny, I'm only just catching up with this thread. I hope you are ok after Saturday's date with the oral surgeon, and he prescribed champagne as an excellent pain relief. How are you?

Grauntie, it's a bit like Christmas, isn't it. It can be hard trying to fit everything in. I'm sure your DDs appreciate your thoughtfulness and hopefully your got to see them at some point.

Our DS2 and family came over for an hour or so, and we had a cup of tea and a chat. They had to squeeze a lot in as GD1 had a karate grading mid-afternoon - not the ideal time for the club to arrange that, but she did very well.

We had all the children and GC here yesterday. Sil cooked the lunch, then DS and Dil arrived. Weather was good so we were able to sit in the garden and some played football.
