    Easter eggs!

I saw Easter eggs when I was compiling my Tesco order!! We have just had 12th night for goodness sake.

As we will all be away over Easter this year, apart from leaving one behind for my mum I won't be buying any.
I will give the CG some spending dollars instead I think.

Its madness isn't it , we tend to give the children a Bar of Chocolate and Money , I think a bar of chocolate is more value and in any case GS1& GS2 are not big lovers of chocolate , GD loves it though

What, Easter Eggs! Have they forgotten Valentine's Day! Shock, horror.

I know I am going to sound like my mother but..... why can’t we live in the here and now just for once in a while.
What’s with the obsession off always planning for months ahead.
Stop , look around, enjoy each day .
It’s less about the religious time of year and more about how much money can be made out of it , the same goes for Christmas I suppose.

I will I’ll buy some when the time comes, I don’t even know what date Easter actually falls on this year and I’m not even going to look .

Mimi - I probably sound like your mother, too, only more grumpy.

I hate the rampant commercialisation of all our traditional festivities, whether religious or secular. It's partly why I don't like being pressurised into starting Christmas in November (although I see the sense of buying bargains when you see them). I think we're losing the ability to live in the present - we're always planning ahead.

I wonder how many people in the country woke up on Boxing Day morning and wondered what all the fuss had been about, or suddenly realised they'd over-organised, over-catered and over-spent.

Here's a spoiler - Easter comes before Hallow'een this year!
