Easter 2019

We are going to our friends for lunch on Easter Sunday with all our family and all theirs. We will be 18 in total. We are having an Easter egg hunt for the grandchildren our 4 and their 2. It will be a very noisy and exciting day!

we don't celebrate Easter as we do not believe , although we do give GC eggs and gifts ,
im not keen on buying eggs I think they are a waste of money but the children like them

We're having doggo over Easter and then DD and co will stay and collect him on their way back from York where she'll have been working and the boys will have been doing whatever boys get up to ! Helping with Easter flowers for Church but that's about it!

We are not a religious family but any excuse for a get together so we do usually get together at some point over the Easter weekend, and the children have Easter egg hunts.
We have no plans as yet.
With Mother's Day, Gs2's birthday and Easter all following each other, Easter plans have taken a back seat .
DD3's homecoming is just after Easter too

Avo - how lovely to plan an Easter Sunday for such a large gathering. I'm sure the grandchildren will have an amazing time.

I was thinking about Easter this morning. When our sons were young I always spring cleaned the house from top to bottom at least a week before Easter. It included washing curtains, cleaning paintwork and carpets - a thorough 'going over' in fact. Easter week-end was always busy. Either we had family or friends staying for the long week-end, or we would be going to OH's sisters, or to friends. The boys would decorate eggs, I'd make a Simnel cake and lots of other goodies, and the boys always had new outfits to wear on Easter Sunday.

Fast forward 30+ years! We haven't made any plans yet. It's DS2's birthday the day after Easter Monday so we'll probably have a family gathering sometime over the week-end, but I think DS1 and Co are away, and we may have their dog.

It's my birthday on the 20th,and our youngest and his girlfriend have just invited us out for a meal.
We are non believers as well,but i do buy Easter eggs. In fact, i bought them this morning.
Avo, your planned day sounds like fun.

No plans for Easter here, I don't buy eggs anymore. I remember that routine of Spring cleaning Daisy and having something new to wear at Easter.

No plans here for Easter, no doubt the traffic will be horrendous especially if the sun shines. Plenty to do here in the garden.
We will give money at their parents request to the GCs as they will have enough chocolate. DD2 and family have been invited to friends so we may see the others (local).

OH and I have one to share from my mum (we always buy her one)
OH and I usually exchange eggs but she has asked me not to buy her one. I have not done the same

No eggs as far as I know for me, we have only bought eggs for children and as they are all grown up, I will not be buying eggs. I give them money at various times so will not do so at Easter.

I won't be buying eggs either. The GSs will be going to see friends in Germany so I'll give them some spending money, and I'll probably get the girls something to wear and a small gift. GD1 has grown out of all her spring/summer clothes from last year, and even though GD2 has inherited clothes from GD1 it's nice for her to have something new as well.

We and SIL's parents are going over to DD2's for tea on Easter Saturday. The forecast is really good, so we should be in the garden. SIL's dad hasn't really been out much since his surgery so it will do him good to get out.
