I've just realised I don't know when Mothers Day is - this Sunday?

My son sent me an invitation to have a meal with them this year, I hadn't realised it was this Sunday.

It will be good having the clock go forward - lovely lighter evenings. It was light until after 6.30 today, so the extra hour will make a big difference.

I am feeling very spoilt. My GD sent me some beautiful roses via inter flora. She sent them about a week ago, so I could enjoy them before I go on a mini break to Wales tomorrow. Today I received a parcel in the post from DD. I will take it away with me so I can open it on Sunday. They are a bit naughty spoiling me, but I won’t complain. Bless them xx

Sunshine - you've got a wonderful family. How thoughtful of your GD to send you flowers, and sending them early so you can enjoy them before your little holiday.

I'm sending everyone best wishes and love for Mothering Sunday (just in case I go out unexpectedly) my 3 will all call in over the week-end depending what shifts the boys are on but DD will certainly be here Sunday for celebrations.
I saw some sad news on our local facebook that a large hotel that catered for all manner of celebrations has been closed down due to none payment of VAT so all the Mothers Day bookings have been cancelled I do hope everyone finds alternative bookings,it involved about 180 bookings which will be hard to reorganise and some people may not be aware of the closure until they turn up to dine.

Glamm - what a shame about the hotel closing. I hope all those mums get treated anyway.

As someone pointed out on FB - what a great idea - giving Mums an hour less in bed on Mother's Day because the clocks go forward!!!

                        I know Daisy!
I reminded my mum, never a morning person and worse as she got older, so we have moved our day on Sunday forward by an hour!

Glamm - I don't notice it so much now I'm not working. But explaining to Eva is another matter entirely! I hope your two pups and Oliver cope ok.
