    Worst present?!

Can you pinpoint one Christmas present that you don't like, or just consider odd?!

I had many lovely presents, I am very lucky.
One present sticks n my mind as an odd one! A friend gave me a Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask. Could be lovely, but seems strange choice of present to me. I wonder if Body Shop will exchange it for something nice?!

When she texted me on Christmas Day to wish me Happy Christmas and thank me for my 'lovely present', I replied wishing her and hers a Merry Christmas, and added 'thank you for your present too' !

The reviews are very good, so perhaps I should give it a go!

Errrmm....does it mean you are polluted by drinking too much tea and you need to detox Gem? 😳

Yes, I know what you mean Qwerty.

Grauntie, I'm not sure but seemingly she feels my skin needs a detox!!

(This same friend bought me Jo Malone shower oil last year, which was lovely, so I think I was just disappointed in the light of that!)

I got perfume and a magnifying light up mirror from husband and we got an Italian dining voucher from one of my sisters, the largest box of Belgian chocolates I have ever seen from nephew and a sort of scratch off poster thing from other sister. I think the idea is that when you are going to a place you scratch off the bit on the map and it gives you information about that place. I have not properly taken it out of the box yet as I don’t have anywhere to put it. Bit of an odd gift to give but whatever! She and her husband rarely go abroad as they have a lodge in Cornwall (where he is from) and they tend to go there rather than anywhere else. They think we are quite the gadabouts!

Family is coming on 2nd January when there will be lots of present opening.

The worst present we ever got was a hideous plastic crystal look alike crinkly little pretend grandfather clock. That NYE we had friends around and I showed them the clock and one of them said how wonderful she thought it was (compared to some of the gifts my mother bought me which my friend had seen it was relatively OK). As she (sarcastically) liked it so much I gave it to her for her birthday in the February. She returned it for my birthday and that went in for a few years until it got lost when she moved. I always thought she did it deliberately. Not to be outdone I started sending a paper mache cherub that used to be a wundiwsisokay item in our shop. It had the most horrible grin, really scarey. . That exchange went on for some time as well until the delivery man left it on our doorstep at our old house and it got very rained on and disintegrated.

I have a big thing about going to hotels when I am working and there being a trouser press and a shaving mirror but nowhere with natural light to put make up on so I am very pleased with mine

The mirror sounds a good idea. My bugbear in hotel rooms is not having a socket close enough to a mirror to dry my hair!!

I've had some lovely presents this year, and the only one that was a tiny bit disappointing was a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates - coconut flavour. OH and I both hate coconut!! But the same person also gave me lovely, thoughtful presents as well.
