Hi Qwerty!
A rest day for us tomorrow too!
Today OH and I are hotfooting it over to DD2s (who hosts the Boxing Day Bash) to help out with preps and childcare. The rest of the family are due at 1.We will have proper Christmas dinner, then later a buffet tea. We ladies in the family get organised and decide who will bring what.
We are taking Christmas pudding and all the sauces and creams, then for tea, crisps and cupcakes and rice crispie cakes, both of which I have made. Everyone brings a bottle of wine, and a good day will be had by all.
Enjoy your day ladies, whether it is quietly recovering from yesterday, or another day of festivities like Qwertys and mine“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Happy Boxing Day.
We are having DD, DGS SIL and DIL’s parents over later. SIL has a big cycling event this morning and DD and GS have football this afternoon, so we have a quiet morning before they descend on us later. We always have a cold buffet on Boxing Day, so easy for me. Turkey, gammon, salad, lots of cheeses and crusty bread, pickles etc. We all look forward to our meal today, eating up the left overs 🙂. We have some nice desserts too, so will be good to have room for them. There’ll still be turkey left for curry tomorrow, yummy,
Have a lovely day everyone, it’s lovely and sunny here at the moment and still very mild."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

A quietish day for me today. Very hectic yesterday, walking dogs, then over to my sons for our presents and nibbles. Back home to walk dogs again before going to daughters for Christmas dinner and then to watch grandson and both grand daughters open their mountain of presents. A game of Trivial Pursuit which seemed to go on forever, then back home to walk dogs again, feed them and then finally fall into bed with lovely hottie bottle , then realised I had left my phone charger at daughters house. Will do without it til I go down later today for a late dinner. A very sunny and bright day here today, but the wind is bitingly cold. Have a lovely Boxing Day to you all, and a very happy and healthy 2018.

You are looking very stern there Oma. We are just home from the hotel, only a thirty minute drive and lovely clear roads. Lunch yesterday was very nice although I asked for a very small one and it was enormous! We didn’t go down for bufett dinner last night as only got back to the room at 4.30 yesterday afternoon, had a little snooze and just decided to stay in the room and drink champagne instead. Nothing happening here today. Lots of cars parked outside so I couldn’t park, annoying but that is the way it is. Husband working tomorrow.
we went to Supermarket on the way home and got a meal deal for tonight. Too lazy to cook. Kids FaceTimed us last night. Joe caught a shark and as they got it in the boat it bit youngest son on the hand! They put it back in the sea. They seem to be having a lot of fun.
Hope everyone has a lovely Boxing DayIf you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

25 people at DS's and DIL's to eat the delicious curries he had made, some very old friends DS and SIL went to school with and played rugby together, so lovely to see them all together, still njoying each other's company. GGS was very taken with all the people but they took him home early as it has been a very busy day for him and his parents. GD drove us home about 6.00 and I couldn't keep awake. Nothing planned for tomorrow but we have snow forecasted, I do hope not. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Just catching up ..... We had a lovely Boxing Day at DS1's and family. OH and DS1 made a quick trip to PCWorld and got OH is new laptop, which he's delighted with. It's the very first time he's had a brand new computer - she's always had my cast-offs before. While they were out DIL sorted out a table groaning with yummy food and I tidied up a bit then the other two sets of grandparents arrived and we ate, drank, laughed all afternoon. We got back home last night, shattered, and today we party all over again for GD2'd birthday.
