We donβt have outside lights but we do put lights in the two bay windows in our snug which look very pretty from outside. We do have a wreath on the front door - it is a wood door an we have a screw in it to hang the wreath.

There is a story about the wreath , it was just a plain one with a few pine cones on then when Josh was about 3 he wanted to stick Santa in the middle it was a cheap ornament we had and then Oliver when he was little wanted us to put lights on , so it's sort of grown over the years πIm not fat just 6ft too small

We have two additions to our outdoor Christmas lights this year.
OH always makes our front door wreath from lower branches of our Christmas tree. This year she added a small set of blue battery operated lights which she originally bought for her golf bag, for a Christmas competition. They look pretty on the wreath.
I also bought a set of multi coloured lights for the Christmas tree in our front garden. It is rather too far from the house to run a lead as we do with the other lights. DD told me about these lights, she has a white set in her front garden. They are indoor or outdoor, battery operated and with a timer. They are on for 6 hours and off for 18, therefore saving the battery. We used them for the first time last night and all went smoothly.

Everyone is very creative with their garden lights!
One of our neighbours has a Santa claus hanging by the his finger nails out of a bedroom window. I worry about him - he's sure to fall off, and then who will deliver the presents tonight!!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
