We used to spend Christmas Day with OH’s family and Boxing Day with mine. These days the children alternate between us and their in-laws. DD1 has invited everyone to her house for the evening.

When we were very first married and living in North Wales, my in-laws always had their Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve, as FIL was 'working' all day Christmas Day (he was a vicar). It was always a rush to get off work in time and get to their house in reasonable time. The rest of the family always seemed to be able to get the day off, but I never could!

          Christmas Eve is finally here!
We seem to have been talking about it for months. I blame Daisy

OH is going to meet up with her brother and SIL, who are en route down south, to exchange presents. I will be doing some baking for Boxing Day, and icing the Christmas cake.

This afternoon we will be dropping in on all my daughters and delivering presents. As we never see any of them on Christmas Day (but do on 26th) I decided I would see them all on Christmas Eve this year. We will go to DD3 first, as they live the closest, then to DD1, who lives the furthest, then DD2 on the way back. I'm looking forward to seeing the little ones excited for Santas arrival

Then home, to an evening in with mulled wine (me OH hates it!) and a meal of nibbly bits, by the fire, with TV.

Happy Christmas dear members, whatever you have planned!

I shall be thinking of you all with your families and Zizi and OH in their luxury hotel. Christmas will start for me when I will be listening to Carols from Kings. Keep well everyone and have a lovely Christmas.

GS1, his partner and baby E will pop in this morning plus DS and his family for present opening then I am going back with DS and family to have Christmas dinner with them this year, DD and family have Sil's brother and wife and SIL's mother here for lunch. I have booked a taxi to bring me home this evening. I have the blinis to decorate and pack food I am taking to DS's.

Hope the poorly ones will be better soon and you all have a lovely day.
