    Christmas films

They seem to have started already on TV!

Do you enjoy watching them, and do you have any favourite Christmas films that you like to watch every year?

Don't watch much television over Christmas, usually play games and sleep.

Iโ€™ve been recording some ready for when DH is back home and we can sit and watch them together when he has to take things easy. Might not all be his cup of tea but worth a chance ๐ŸŽ„

My all time favourite Christmas films are Love Actually, Itโ€™s A Wonderful Life and White Christmas. I try to watch them every year sometime near Christmas. DH groans then goes and does something else ๐Ÿ˜„

I am an expert at the moment on Xmas films being the slob that I am lol, but I do like The Polar Express I taped it one year and woe betide anyone who deletes it, Lampoons Xmas make me chuckle but most of the films I have seen on True entertainment channel the story is nothing to do with Christmas apart from the few trimmings that are up and someone mentions Xmas eve ๐Ÿ˜€

love all the old ones but I think Elf has to be number 1 with all our family its not Christmas without that film and Love Actually

Funny how most of the Christmas films made in USA end up with snow even if they are set in an area that does not usually have snow. I shall be a bah humbug and say I do not particularly like Christmas films and on the TV the constant showing of them from October gets right on my nerves.

I switched one on today, just browsing what was on, and watched for a while. Snow piled high by the side of the roads, and people walking slowly, coats wide open, no scarves or gloves. I have been to Wisconsin and Illinois in winter when snow lays in piles for weeks. Everyone hurries to get out of the cold, everyone is fully bundled up and all coats fastened

We like It's a Wonderful Life, but i have seen it so many times, i'm getting a bit fed up of it now.
I like Miracle on 34th Street. Would like to see the original again,as seen the modern one quite a few times.
Haven't watched any on the Christmas channel yet.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Can't say I like to watch any film more than once. It's a bit like reading the same book twice, you know whatโ€™s coming next.

What I like about the channel is you can fast forward the adverts if you have taped them ๐Ÿ˜• Iโ€™ve watched 15 so far this week lol yes I know I need to get out more ๐Ÿ˜€ either that or get s life ๐Ÿ˜

Qwerty - well done on watching that many films - it's about time you took things a bit easier, young lady!!!

I can watch films more than once, because i never remember them properly! From choice I'd go for Miracle on 34th Street, but I think a lot of the old films are better than modern ones. They seem to have a beginning, a middle and an end and have better sound tracks.

I can also watch films more than once. I love West Side Story (my dadโ€™s favourite film), Brigadoon (although I watched it on I.ad last week ad had forgotten how very dire the Scottish accents were) . I also love films like Carousel and in fact I cannot watch Carousel sitting on a chair, I have to be on the floor with cushions under my elbows! A Matter of Life and Death is another of my favourites. I am quite boring really......

I luuuurrrvvvvv Christmas films. I love all the Christmas ones mentioned here. I can add 'A Christmas Carol' (both old & new) & whenever the Harry Potter theme music starts up I think of Christmas. My mind's tired as I can't remember the title of another favourite ...features a boy Ralfie & his family. I like it because it has old fashioned values & the father's so funny. It's the era it's filmed in too.

Luckily my OH shares my 'Christmas films tradition' now. Even better all cosied up with just the Christmas tree lights on. I'm a sucker for tv Christmas films...so cheesy but blissful escapism, eh Qwerty?

Havenโ€™t started watching them yet as they have been on so often and itโ€™s still a long way from Christmas I might get fed up of them . Perhaps I will start to watch them in December.

Nana, I love the Harry Potter theme!
There is some wonderful thing at Leeds O2 coming up with the live music and film screening. If I lived in Leeds or had anyone to go with, I would be there!!
