    Xmas puds

Sunday, 26 November 2017 is ‘Stir-up Sunday’, so put on your apron and gather family or friends lol to make a Christmas pudding. It’s the day when wishes are said to come true, so get stirring!

      I buy my Christmas puds

1 for us and mum on Christmas Day, 2 to take to DD2s for our big family get together on Boxing Day.

My late MIL made Christmas puddings for many years. Since she stopped I buy them.
I always make Christmas cake though and mince pies (apart from last year, we had bought mince pies, as December was a weird month for me )

I've never made Christmas puddings - but I love them and buy two or three. None of the family like them, except OH and me, so we have them whenever we feel like it right through the year.

I always make mince pies, and we still have some of the mincemeat OH made last year. It's well treated with preservative - of the brandy type, so I'm sure it's still good to eat.

I will be sunning myself in Feurtuventura on that day so I will be baking in my own way 🏖

I have made ours, 6 small ones and one medium one. I love my Christmas pudding but the family prefer chocolate log etc. My mother always made them, it is her recipe I use, we all had a stir and a wish.

I have never made a Christmas pud either. Too late to start now. I bought some last year after The Event for a C'mas dinner I intended to do in the summer, (last year’s event was a non event) but didn't do it so they are in the cupboard. I must inspect them to make sure they will do for this year. Can't think why they won’t do.

I used to make Christmas puddings every other year without fail. I made enough for two Christmas’s as they keep extremely well and the more mature ones have a better flavour. I made my first Christmas pud when I was at school and then when I had left school and living with dad the ritual of Christmas pudding making started along with Christmas cake making. I must have been about 16 at the time.
I no longer make either pudding or cake now as it’s just me and OH and we aren’t usually home for Christmas.
