The Christmas Angel/fairy tree topper is getting rather dilapidated. I was thinking to replace it. What do you have on top of your Christmas tree?

I have two things for top of the tree a fairy who is quite beautiful and a gorgeous angel. Both are quite large as ours is a tall thin ore decorated tree. Miss Sadie chooses which one we are going go have each year but this year we won’t hve a tree (or maybe a very small shelf type one) as the children will be in Florida. Until a few years ago I had an angel who was quite elderly and to be honest was the source of constant running repairs but sons dog got hold of it and chewed it to bits, I was so cross. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

I made our fairy, she is very busty and wears leopard skin knickers. She has been seen to be carrying a bottle of wine whilst precariously hanging from a branch. The outdoor fairy is quite demure with knee high white leather boots. She will have saucy undies but I can't remember what they are. I will dig them out for a photo call. I made a few of these, all different, for friends. They still get them out every year!Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

On our main (big, real) living room tree we have a silver star I bought from Lakeland a couple of years ago. It has little white lights on. I bought my mum the same one and we both love them.
My small artificial tree which goes on a small table in the hallway has a Winnie The Pooh Angel on top!

This is an on going argument with DD( friendly ) .
She insists that we continue using the fairy we brought for our very first Christmas when we were first married way back in 1973 . It’s not a particularly outstanding fairy , it is very 70’s style,it originally had a purple skirt but when DD was in her teens she wrapped gold wrapping paper around it in an attempt to bring it back to a more traditional fairy. She says it’s a family tradition and it reminds her of Christmas when she was little even though she is now married and living away. When she visits over the Christmas period she looks to make sure the fairy is in its rightful place, going as far as to pick up our two GS’s to have a good look at it.
We have brought other Christmas tree fairys, stars etc but we always go back to the original fairy !
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

GM - you have an X-rated tree!!!!
I honestly can't remember what goes on the top of our main tree, but we have a wonky star for the smaller tree in the hall. But then we only have them out from the week before the 25th and they go back in their boxes on 2nd January!!!!!!!!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are.
