Plant - I agree it's crazy. When we were children we anticipated the exciting events of the year one by one - Bonfire Night (Halloween wasn't marked at all), Christmas, Easter, Whitsun, August Bank Holiday and August Wakes week. Each one brought its own delights.
I don't know if other grannies agree with me, but I think we've lost some of the magic by over-commercialisation. Our garden centre has had all the trees, lights, decs etc in there for the last 2 weeks at least!! I love Christmas but I refuse to look at them until the middle of November very hard as the place is crammed."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr SeussComment
