    Christmas tree?

Daisy is on holiday , I suspect Elisi may not be looking, so we can talk about CHRISTMAS!!

My question (because I was talking about this with my auntie this morning) is Do you have a Christmas tree? Or more than one? If yes, real, artificial, pre decorated, or do you like to do it yourself?

I love a real tree, and we have as big as we can fit in which is generally only about 5 feet, in our living room. I love to decorate it and have no 'theme'. It is a lovely mix of things from OHs and my Christmases past. Lovely delicate baubles from her mums tree, things my DDs made as children, things we have bought on holidays together. All sorts. Lots of tiny coloured lights too. To see it sparkling in the corner for 3 weeks of the year brings me great pleasure.
I have a small artificial tree which stands on a side table in the hallway. That one I decorate solely in silver decorations and white lights. A contrast to the riot of colour in the living room
We have a small tree outside our front door at Christmas too, decorated with white lights.

It's MONTHS to go and I can't even get my head around Halloween

I think Christmas is for December and that is where it stays for me

I do know lots of you feel differently and I hope you all enjoy this thread, but,

We have a tree in a box. We bought it three or four years ago. It is beautifully decorated with small baubles and white lights. We pull the box out of the loft, open the box, pull it out and tease the branches and put a fairy on top. It is tall and thin and very pretty. We used to always have real ones but one year husband bought home a twig one which was a bit odd but I grew to love it. It fell to bits a few years ago and I was heartbroken.

I have also checked my CHRISTMAS cards this week. I always overbuy and last year they were in their bag on top of the wardrobe and as I pulled the back (with a pair of tongs) they all slid down the back. As the wardrobe is two double and a single put together I couldn't get them out so had to buy more and then got some in the January sale.

            Sorry unC type people...... XX

Oh I have already started with Christmas shopping and went t Matalan the other day for a new top and spent a fortune on Xmas decorations instead 😁
we have a very bushy artificial tree we have had for years I love it , we started out with very stylish gold with white lights, now it's all red with various baubles from the children and what we have acquired over the years , the new baubles are large red bells with snow men on top , no idea where they will go as I had to leave lots of baubles in there boxes last year with no room to put them , but I'm sure I will squeeze these on somewhere , OH loves Christmas and it could get very tacky in hear if I let him have his own way , when the boys were little he always went over board with the Dec's 😊
Im not fat just 6ft too small

We used to have a real tree years ago, but now we have an artificial one. I don't have a specific coulour scheme, because I still use some decorations the kids and grandkids made at school.
The youngest granddaughter decorates our tree. We don't have as many decorations up as we used to though.

I don't mind talking about Christmas, after all I have brought 3 Christmas presents so far but in my defence they are presents for the GC and if past years are anything to go by, if I I don't get the presents early for children they are usually sold out by November/December.
What I do take exception to is Christmas decks going up to early. Someone on Facebook asked if NOW was to early to put up their Christmas decks . A friend replied no as they had planned to do theirs THIS WEEKEND !!!! It's only October for goodness sake !!!

We have one tree in the main room , it's an artificial one. I don't really like it but it fits in our small room so I put up with it.
In the spare room we have another artificial one but it's a very small one that sits on the coffee table .
I most definitely won't need to buy any new decks. We have far too many as it is and most of them don't even come out of the box from one year to another.
Also I don't need to buy wrapping paper, bags , gift tags or crackers. I have plenty left over from last Christmas. We didn't even get to use the crackers last Christmas
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

I have a white twig tree no with lights, very pretty, no needles, easy to put up and with an 80year old fairy on the top. It will not be coming out until a week before Christmas. I wonder what storm will make of the decorations Oma?
