TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHRISTMAS DAY

A good time was had by all. Great food and the children were lovely. Opened one set of presents before the dinner and one set after so they had plenty of fun! We have 11 people in total coming tomorrow so we've been hitting the shops today! Just made a tasty pasta bake, bought cold meats and salmon and crab sticks, dips, cheeses, lovely breads, garlic bread, salad, sausage rolls, spring rolls, coleslaw, and apple pork pies etc. An apricot flan, mini profiteroles and tasty trifles for dessert. Pear cider, larger, prosecco and wine. Let's hope it all goes as otherwise we will be eating it until next week!

DS stayed with DD1 and DD2 & her OH stayed with us. All came to us to open presents and have lunch! GS2 pounced excitedly on some loose foam packaging blobs saying "this is what I've always wanted!" We could have saved ourselves a fortune if we had known. Had a quiet interlude when GSs went home to play with their new toys and DD1 and her OH laid out enough buffet food to feed an army. SILs parents joined us for tea and games. We put names in a hat to choose teams and we won the junior trivial pursuit game! Wassup was very loud and very noisy but great fun. Much quieter Boxing Day. DS went to join his GF and her family and DD1 and co went to her in laws for lunch. DD2 & SIL were going to stay til the evening but left early because of the flooding reports! They got home safely with slight delay as Leeds city centre had some flooding. Had a lovely couple of days but done very little today apart from burning some mince pies, reading my book and catching up with Downton!
