    Nothing in to eat

We went shopping today my cupboards ,freezer ,and fridge are bursting at the seams with nice treats, food ,and stuff for over the Xmas , BUT when it came to deciding what we were to have for tea tonight we couldn't find anything we fancied to eat ,
Qwerty has the right idea tonight after having the babies she's to tired to cook so going out maybe we should have done that 😊😊😊 why when your faced with so much food do you somehow not want what's there 😀

Much the same here! Have just got some salmon steaks out that come with Hollandaise sauce sachet. Will have to be frozen peas as I couldn't face going to the shops again. Hope you enjoy whatever you settle on!

We settled on a cornish pasty solo nothing with it, the thought of what we will scoff in the coming days puts me off. Out early tomorrow for Christmas food shop, not much only us two but a few nice little extras will find their way into the trolley no doubt. Just have to wrap Shilohs Christmas presents, spoilt puppy lol.

We were due to eat out at friends house, but OH hadnt felt well, so we postponed it to next week.
No meal planned, and OH not feeling like eating much. OH had scambled egg (singular, it was all she wanted) and a slice of toast. I had fish fingers, a few potato wedges, and sweetcorn!

We had a chicken pie with new potatoes and peas this lunch time, well when I say "We had chicken pie and veg" what I really mean is OH and DS had chicken pie etc, I didn't have anything . I put OH and DS plates with the meal on the table but when it came to mine it was a different story when I took hold of the plate, my hand decided have a sudden, uncontrollable quiver which made the plate slip from my hand and my meal ended up down the side of the cooker !

Sorry you didn't get your chicken pie Mimi.
I was busy baking yesterday, so we had bacon, sausage, new potatoes and carrot and swede mash.
Because I was making pastry yesterday,i made a corned beef and onion pie, We will have half today and the rest tomorrow. It's in the fridge waiting to be baked.
Half today with mash, veg and gravy. Probably have a few homemade chips with it tomorrow.

We had roast chicken and veg. Lovely. Tonight we have the downstairs neighbour in for fizz so I will do some nibbles and we will, probably have cheese on toast when she has gone.

I am going out shortly (it is 6.50am) to go to my store unit and pick up the Wales parcel, go to the greengrocer and butcher and deliver Joe and Sadie's Christmas Eve boxes. I should be home by 9am traffic permitting. Then I have one more old ex-employee to see but I will leave that until later in the morning as I ow she is not an early getter upper. Tomorrow we will be taking Ben out for lunch so he will have his box then.

I have to admit I am not particularly looking forward to Christmas but by Boxing Day lunchtime our Christmas will be over and things will be back to normal.

Ikt's funny, isn't it, all this 'posh' food around and we want something simple. Last night friends called round to exchange pressies before they leave for their daughter's this morning, and we ended up having a prawn omelette and salad. At least it was healthy!!!

                            We like crumpets too

My ex and his wife are having an open house at their new home today, to which we are invited. He's an excellent cook, so hopefully that will solve our what-to-eat-tonight crisis

After popping into the freezer to decide what to have for tea to-night I gave up so many goodies to pick from but not really "mealy" all sort of party foods and nibbles sort of stuff with a few nice desserts (yummy) so opening the fridge out jumped good old favourite bacon and eggs and a few home made chips.
