    Bread sauce

Have you ever had bread sauce? Is it part of your Christmas dinner?

I had never had it until today.
A friend of DD's couldn't believe she had never tried it and made her some. It was delicious. I imagined it to be bland and boring but it wasn't at all.

I have never tasted bread sauce and it doesn't appeal to me at all.

Many years ago, i made a summer pudding because we had never tried it.
We didn't care for it,i think it put us off knowing it was made with bread.

DS1 loves bread and butter pudding,we don't like it.

I'm not a bread lover but hubby is. He will eat white, brown, seeded granary and any other bread, but won't eat the above.

It's not something I've even fancied trying , but would if I had the opportunity just to see if I liked it or not,
Sometimes with me it's texture , I don't like egg custard tarts because of the texture apart from not liking the egg of course 😁

Yes, I love bread sauce. I've sometimes used the packet mix, but it's nowhere near as good as making it from scratch. My DIL1 and I are the only ones who like it but it's still worth making it.

I like bread sauce, DD doesn’t make it. I think it goes so well with a bird. My mother didn’t make it but Mil always did. An onion stuck with cloves simmered in some milk, remove onion then add breadcrumbs, job done.
