Have to admit I don’t like this “New Year” business. Of course I want everyone to keep healthy and happy but I can’t help thinking what could happen this year. I know, I know it could be something marvellous but I’m a bit of a pessimist and this is how I feel. Realistically it’s just another day so I have to focus on this. Don’t expect anyone else feels like this but it’s how I’ve always been, not just this year!

Clover, it's ok to feel how you feel. Not everyone rushes into new situations with joy and excitement. There are horrendous and frightening possibilities for the whole world this coming year, and we need some cautious, level-headed people to prepare us and alert us to possible events.
I'm generally optimistic, believing that most things will turn out ok eventually, that nothing stays the same and good can come out of bad. Of course, I'd rather there wasn't the "bad", but there always will be and we need realists like you to keep our feet on the ground. xx

Clover, you feel how you feel, and thats ok.
Last year wasn't a bad year for us, so hope this year follows that trend.
Wishing all your families health and happiness for 2024.
Sadly,it wasn't a good start for Japan today, with having an earthquake.Last edited by Nanto2girls; 01-01-2024, 07:49 PM.Sometimes I forget to like posts,but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Clover and Plant , in the end it is just another day and things will be no better or no worse the next day .
I think feeling more positive and optimistic happens more when spring appears than on January Ist“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
