I think all the other Christmas adverts are poor this year.
None of them are as good as they used to be.
As for the John Lewis advert, what has a venus fly trap plant got to do with Christmas.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
The Manager of our Village Hall was donated two large boxes of the stuffed toy in the advert from Waitrose for the children, they certainly are not cuddly and are very ugly. As H didn’t get to the party she didn’t get one, might see if there are any left when I go to the lunch today.

I think JL are finding the stuffed venus fly trap toys aren't selling very well. But you never know what will appeal. Wasn't there a huge fuss about getting toy carrots last year or the year before? I can't remember which supermarket it was.

Nanto, yes, thank you, that's the one. Why would anyone want a stuffed carrot toy, advertising a supermarket. Apart from Eva, that is.
Daisy, a family I know (who live in a very modestly sized terraced house) are obsessed with these Kevin the carrot characters They have so many. They have queued up over the years to get new ones when released. Some are child sized! Their son is 11 now so he may tire of this but I don't think his mum will

Gem, they obviously find a lot of joy in them, Gem. I'm probably just an old Grinch!
Nanto - Eva was shaking that toy at the time (that's why her head looks fussy). Yesterday, when our visitors were here, she carefully plucked most of the white trim off it.
