For the last I don’t know how many years I’ve cooked Christmas dinner. Suddenly it hit me, why not go out for lunch? Since I lost OH it’s only been me and two DS’s. I put it to them and they both agreed so I went ahead and booked at the pub in the next village.I know it’s expensive but I feel it’s worth it to save me the hassle!

I’ve often thought this Clover , it means you get to enjoy Christmas dinner no cooking and no washing up .
Yes they are expensive but when you think how much it costs to buy and cook a meal I think it outweighs the cost .
You will enjoy going out too it makes a lovely change,
We go to DDs but I would happily go out
I hope it’s a lovely day for you all xxxIm not fat just 6ft too small

Clover, I think that sounds like a really good idea, and as Oma says, when you weigh up all the costs of cooking Christmas lunch and probably supplying other festive goodies there's probably not much in it, plus you can all relax and enjoy the meal - and no washing up either.
