We ordered Finns Christmas presents last night ,
First one ,
Secret Santa and GC being older it’s easy for us now , two youngest want money .
No idea what GS1 wants yet will ask him today when he comes for lunch ,
Will ask him what to get Lucie also.
our biggest headache is MIL she doesn’t like anything you buy she either gives it away or bins it .
year before last one of our gifts was a Yankee Candle wax melt pot ,
It was so nice I was tempted to keep it for myself , we bought it as she has one she uses .
About February when we hadn’t seen it I asked where it was she said she gave it away she didn’t like it ,
She could have gave it back to us 🙄
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Gem, you have been rather busy recovering from your surgery, so be kind to yourself. Perhaps a gentle reminder to your DDs about the lists for your grandchildren would give you a start.
As you know I don't 'do' Christmas until December, and somehow it all gets done, and if there's a bit of a scramble to get the presents wrapped or whatever, then that's part of it.
As our grand children get older it becomes increasingly difficult to come up with ideas for presents they really want. At one time I knew my GSs were always delighted with money, but now they are both working I wonder if that's such a good idea. I'll have to hope for inspirations from their parents.
Oma, even at Christmas you MIL can stop you in your tracks. Your family Secret Santa is a good idea."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

I give my GC money on their birthday so like to buy them something at Christmas to go under the tree. I wondered about buying them all pens. My Sil always wants a jumper and DD always has a voucher from her favourite smelly shop. I ask the parents what to buy the GC. I am surrounded by 14 Birthday cards atm. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Tommie's presents are all wrapped up.
Bought a tub of Roses chocolates both sons and grandaughters.
We will get them all some smellies such as shower gels.
So i need 3 mens shower gels and 4 ladies, because i always buy one for daughter in laws daughter.
Then we are giving them money, which we think will be appreciated by them all.
GD2 is 21 this month. We have bought her some perfume and chocolates and will give her some money.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I am happy to report I have started my Christmas shopping
I know what DD and GS 1 want to have ordered those. They are both reasonably expensive items so apart from a very small extra each that is the shopping done for that family.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I am thinking of buying all the GC decent biro pens. All the GC have a secret Santa as there are so many of them. Sil always has a jumper and DD likes a voucher for her favourite perfume. That leaves DS and Dil, I need to get some ideas from them. I have three birthdays next month. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
