    Festive TV!

Looking through tonight's schedule it is far from exciting!
We will record and watch the Christmas edition of Bake Off and a Christmas film loosely based on A Christmas Carol (mainly because Suranne Jones is in it!) I have also recorded Home Alone, to watch yet again!

We wont watch any daytime TV on Christmas and Boxing Day, but will watch some recorded things later both evenings.

Call The Midwife and the various soaps and quizzes will be our viewing I think.
Looking forward to Happy Valley returning for a new series on New Year's Day.

Are you planning to watch anything?

We think Christmas tv has been rubbish for a few years now.
Tonight i am recording Emmerdale,Coronation Street and Call the Midwife.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

We've watched Doc Martin - mainly because it was the episode my DS1 and DIL1 'gatecrashed' when it was being filmed back in February.

We watched Call the Midwife yesterday evening, when everyone had gone home.

Mimi - same here! I know the world's going to hell in a handcart, but - really!

We watched The Detectorists last night. I believe it was a series some years ago and this was a one-off, but we really enjoyed it. Gentle, basically nice people tempted to be naughty and how they dealt with it. A breath of fresh air after all the usual tripe that's dished up on our tv screens.

(PS I think I'm becoming a very grumpy old woman!!)

We used to go to see Mrs Browns boys when they did the little theatres around the country ,
Very funny , then they got too big for their boots and only did TV and big venues.
Its all same old gags and stuff now. Hate the all round to Mrs Brown show .

We watched Midwives and then Doc Brown on catch up , both really good .

When Mrs Brown's Boys were on tv at first it was funny but the jokes (If you can call them that) are so pitiful. It's the same routine over and over again

Apparently the 'big film' for tonight is a James Bond. <yawn>

We watched Castaway this afternoon. We had seen it before of course but not for years and both enjoyed it!

BBC 1 has good fare tonight. New series of Call The Midwife and Happy Valley, after several years.
