    2022

    Well 2022 is here ,
I wonder what this year will bring us ,
Will we get rid of this Virus or will we learn to live with it like flu ?

Will we get what we wish for ,
Have Health and Happiness in our lives and enjoy the life we have and not fret over what we have not .
I hope so after the last couple of years .

Doesn't it seem a life time since we welcomed the new millennium , now here we are 22 years later and so much has changes ,
Not all for the better but we still must be Thankful for what we have

I wish all you lovely ladies nothing but the best in the coming year ,

Oma, lets all wish for the virus to fade and that we get back to living, not so much for us but more for the youth of today, let them get on with the studies and enjoy life.

I second everything you say Oma. Let us hope that we can all get back to normal life.

We all wish the same I think. A more normal and safer life.

Some new babies expected on the forum, which is wonderful.
DD3 wants to move house, as a family we want our Florida holiday, at last!
I want to meet up with my GRU friends again

There is already sadness here as its reported that just after midnight some jumped from a bridge into the river Wye . We are hoping that this person who ever they are is safe and being cared for .

GS joins the army this year so mixed emotions here.

Wouldn't it be just the best New Year gift if we could all get back to living normal virus free life.

I agree, a more normal, ordinary life. I wish everyone a happy, healthy 2022.

Same here. A normal, healthy and happy life.

Mimi - how sad. I do hope the person who jumped was saved. I can't imagine the level of depression, anxiety or worry that must lead someone to do that.

                  Such tragedies
I suppose sometime the perceived happiness of everyone else at these times makes depressed and lonely people feel more desperate. Drink could also play a part.

B said the same Gem , troubles always seem worse when you drink ,
I can’t imagine what state of mind he must have been in to do that , such a waste of life and so sad that you would rather die than live with whatever is troubling you

One of my DD1's best friends committed suicide when they were 18 (alone in a wood ) It was just terrible. Everyone close to the person feels guilty.

Gem - what a tragic end to a young life. The pain of family and friends is unimaginable.

No more babies planned in our family but looking forward to a marriage between GS2 and his lovely partner if they can find a venue.

It was the saddest funeral I have ever been to Daisy.
