Christmas Shopping - have you started?

It's November, so I feel I can start talking about Christmas

Have you begun your Christmas shopping yet? I suspect Nan2 had all but finished!

I have bought both GS's main presents. I need some PJ's and maybe a book for GS1, but have finished GS2.
I have randomly bought the token gifts from my mum for her grandsons in law!

Apart from that I have done lot of online browsing but not bought anything else yet. I have no idea what my DDs or GD want.

I bought some Christmas presents fro Amazon in August.
When i was looking for something else, i saw some things suitable for both GD's.
Also bought one for DS2's partner.
    I don't mind Christmas shopping,if i know what i am getting.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Not yet , we are struggling to find out what everyone wants apart from GS1
He wants a good set of Golf clubs

Cant get a answer from anyone else so they may end up with money ,

GS2 thinks he knows what he wants but isnt settled on it yet and GD keeps changing her mind
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Yes a few items but it's becoming harder as to know what to buy anyone.
Youngest GS , aged 5 is easy he wants just about everything.

We have brought a artificial slim prelit christmas tree as our old tree was far too big for our new property. I'm not overly excited about it as I prefer a traditional biggish tree but I'm sure we will get used to it

We are doing the same as we did last year, a family Secret Santa. It worked so well, made life so much easier for everyone so I only have one present to buy! We set a price limit and draw names out of a hat and that’s it. I picked DD this year....it’s very hard to keep it secret 😀. It’s different if there are young children to buy for but when they’re adults it’s so difficult so I’m happy to do this again. It was GS’s idea, he likes an easy life. He’ll be buying for his girlfriend too and I will probably get her a little something as well.

Enfys - what a good idea. I remember thinking last year how sensible, but still fun.

I think our GSs will be getting money - at 18 and nearly 17 they are so hard to buy for. The GDs are younger and easier and their mum and dad will give us some ideas. GD2's birthday is 27th December, so we do have to think about that as well.

That is a good idea Enfys, and something to consider for the future. For now we have children

My Four plus partners of my GC have a secret Santa between them which makes life easier and less expensive for them. I buy for my 6 GC and their partners my DD and Sil, my son and Dil, last but not least my 3 GGC, quite a headache really. So far I have one present for my GS1’s wife. I am going to do baskets filled with food goodies for my GS2 and his partner and GD2 and her partner. My DD always has a voucher for her favourite shop. Sil always says a jumper, I don’t know what he does with them. Thinking cap on for DS, Dil, GS3 and 4, I will ask them for suggestions.

DS took presents for his GF and her mum when he went back last week. I thought it best that he take them because of all the new Customs regulations that are in place now we've left the EU. Her birthday present took weeks to arrive! I'm assuming he'll be back here for Christmas so he hasn't got anything yet!
I've bought Advent calendars for everybody and a couple of little things for DD and DN. The GNs just get money!
I've also got DD and DS's birthdays in December. DD has asked for lingerie, so I've ordered that. DS I have no idea. Plus of course, it's our Golden wedding! No idea what will be happening there, but I'm glad I didn't plan a party! Hopefully we'll be able to take OH out for lunch and maybe have a cake in the home. I'm not looking too far ahead at the moment.
My DB and I don't exchange presents and the only other person I buy for is our elderly neighbour and she appreciates a bottle of sherry!
Still waiting on suggestions from GS! Will be looking after him and doggo in December when DD and SiL head off to Budapest for her birthday weekend, so I might take him shopping then. We usually go and get his presents for his mum and dad that weekend, so hopefully he'll still want to do that....unless it's not 'cool' to be seen out with your granny

Plant and WeeGranny - your shopping lists will be very long.

WeeGranny - I'm sure your GS will be very happy to come shopping with you. Cool Grannies are cool to be seen with!

I've got a river cruise voucher for DD and SiL which they can use next year! Something different and I'm sure they'll enjoy cruising up, or down, the Thames!
