I bought 3 of those round boxes of Cadburys Heroes £4 each in Asda. They were on behalf of my mum though, so not really counted.

Grauntie - Oh, I suppose it's alright. I have to admit 'Flying Tiger' sounds interesting - a bit like a stripey unicorn without the horn - and "Keep Christmas Special for December" needs all the support it can get.

Grauntie - the garden centre Enfys mentioned in a recent post has Santa's genuine, live reindeers - guess when? DECEMBER. That's proof that even Santa agrees with us!

Gem - on behalf of your mum????? Hmmmmph! Did she say "My darling daughter would you be so kind as to buy three boxes of Cadbury's Heroes for me to give as Christmas presents"???

I said in chat today that we've been shopping. What I didn't say was that it was Christmas & birthday shopping. I think you might 'forgive' me Daisy when I give my reasons.😉

I have an app't with the hernia specialist in a couple of weeks. I doubt if I'll get away without an operation, so lifting etc will be a 'no go' if that's the case. So I've sorted & bought the GCs Christmas gifts. It's also GS3's birthday a week after Christmas so I got his gifts sorted too. I know it's very early but I feel better for getting it done.

OH is willing to have a go at anything but trusting him to get the Christmas presents might be a step too far.😲😨😱😅🤣

John Lewis isn't sure what is happening, they have Halloween and Christmas stock in. They have the old large Cadbury's tins which you fill with your choices for £10. Didn't see any fireworks but to my surprise they have them in Waitrose.

Nana - I think you can safely be excused for breaching Keep Christmas for December, and Christmas birthdays are always difficult if you don't think about them until 'after' Christmas. My GD2's birthday is the 27th and my Goddaughter's is 28th so I have to think about them early(ish).

I hope you don't need an operation, but you definitely will need waiting on hand and foot if you do have one.

Plant - Exactly - They could at least get Halloween over before starting on Christmas. I have not sympathy for the shops on this one - Halloween never used to exist except on the calendar until commercial interests saw the opportunity.

                Gem - have fun!

I saw this elsewhere, and thought it might make you all smile:

I am very happy to announce that I have bought AND wrapped ALL Christmas presents, except for one: my youngest grandson’s. I have got some of his, but I want to get him some more Lego as well, but I want to make sure I don’t duplicate a set.
I love Christmas shopping, but I hate the crowds in December, so I get in there early. Also I am away on holiday from 8th-20th December, so I need to be organised before I go. I can’t bare to leave it ‘til the last minute. Although I like to be organised, I don’t like all the decorations etc going up early. These should be saved until December, definitely.

Sunshine, with being away for much of December you really do have to get organised early! It sounds as though you've got it all sorted.

A lady after my own heart Sunshine!
I also love Christmas but hate December crowds, and that fear of not being able to find what you want. I am behind this year. I have started but have to clue what I am buying for any of my GC!

I have got about half of my family Christmas presents, just waiting for ideas from my youngest GD and my sons's family. I also have three birthdays in Dec. to buy for.

                              Love that Daisy!

I have DD & DS's birthdays in December and our wedding anniversary.

DS has actually asked for something specific this year.......but it's not yet available!!!

I have no ideas for anyone else or even what I'd like. Luckily I don't have many to buy for, so in theory, it should be easy!!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WeeGranny - I wish I had some suggestions from our family. The hardest are our two teenage GSs, plus GS2's birthday in January.

Although GD2's birthday is 27 December she's relatively easy to buy for, so I'm sure I can have a peek at her letter to Santa.
