    New Year Resolutions for 2019

At least one member has mentioned this topic, so here we go, ladies.

What are your NY Resolutions? Either for real or fantasy!

I am promising myself that I will not buy anything which I do not need (bags/shoes/make-up) etc and to save the money I would have spent in my cookie jar.
Come this time next year I want to have saved at least £1ks.
I have started to-day by popping into local Banardo's childrens shop and bought birthday presents for GGCs & GD all new presents at massively reduced prices and put the balance in my jar.

There are so many things I want to do that I don't know where to start! I can't do all of them, so I'll have to be selective.

I suppose a good place to start would be to be more decisive, and better organised!!!

I am going to make two resolutions, though! Definitely! (There, I'm being decisive already!)

As always, I intend to lose some weight and exercise more. The older I get the more important this is!

I also intend to make more time for me. I have a feeling I said that last year but I don't think I succeeded.

Gem, I think you did say you intended to make more time for you! I know I always think the same, but don't seem to be able to put it into practice!

(Weight loss & Fitness comes into it of course.)

My main aim is to find inner peace & be as kind to myself as I am to others.❤

1 My new year resolution is to be a bit more kind to myself not a lot to ask is it
2 I shall stop multi tasking there was a day when I was younger I would have a baby on my hip, put my phone under my chin to speak and warm something up in the microwave, and only four years ago I had a baby on each hip , now I can’t remember what I went upstairs for but will decide to clean the bath instead, not knowing what I am doing next or what I want to say, it is quite consoling I can pretend I’m away with the fairies , and my Dd will say my mums on a different planet and I won’t care !!!!

One thing I might change on my GRU and you might not like it or care really and no offence to anyone, I find myself on Chat4u and I don’t have anything to say, I may have a few days where literally nothing is happening in my life so I may go AWOL , I always read what everyone is doing and I will comment if I think I need too, I will be on other topics too, but I’m a bit boring at times housework, and food shopping that’s me at times , I’m not good always with small talk too . It’s just one of my thoughts 💭

Qwerty - You definitely need to be kinder to yourself!

It's been proved that when you stop multi-tasking you actually get more done. One task at a time. I try and when I succeed I have so much more energy, but somehow I then slip back into multi-tasking! That's when you find yourself in the spare room with a bottle of milk wondering what the hell you're doing!

I think Gem had comment that Chat4you is there for members to use as they wish. I always think it like passing the time of day when you meet a neighbour in the street, or having a quick chat over the garden fence. But the important thing is to make it work for you. If you want to chat that's great, but we don't always all want to, and that's fine, too.

The important thing is the lovely friendships that have developed between members. xx

I am going to go through my house, one bit at a time and clear out anything that I really don’t need or use. My intention is to keep on task until every room has had a clear out. I wonder how far I will get before I give up. I made a start in the kitchen today. My goal is to finish it tomorrow. Now I have recorded it I will really have to do it!!!

Sunshine - we both have the same idea!

Having sorted out the Christmas decorations today I am fired up to work through the house. My wardrobe is next on my list.

My NY Resolution is "If in doubt, throw it out" (or recycle or whatever is appropriate). I'll have to be strict with myself - and with OH, but that's much harder.
