Christmas Tree - real or artificial

Gem when we bought ours B was in Hospital having his Bone Marrow transplant so when it came it stayed in its box under the bed till the following Christmas although I did unpack it to make sure it was ok ,
They very quick with delivery I found , when I bought the Garland for my Mantle from them last year it arrived in two days
Plug it in make sure lights work although I haven't had a problem with mine best to check everything like that .

I won't assemble it until our real tree is gone as I don't want to disappoint myself by the comparison!
I am still unsure, but I have bought it now!

We opened it today and I'm very pleased with it
It sat unopened for 3 days as I was worried that I had spent all this money and was going to be disappointed. OH opened it in the end.
As you say Oma it is very good. I love the attention to detail and the luxurious look to everything. You get what you pay for in this case I think.
I feel much happier about my decision to ditch the real tree next year now.

We had an awful lot of needles to hoover up today. The worst it has been for years, and we got the tree from the usual place.
That is what promoted my decision to get an artificial one.

I wonder if needles on real trees have dropped earlier because of the dry summer.

Possibly Daisy. Some years we have had no needle drop at all, and have thrown away a perfectly good tree on twelfth night.

I've seen a few news items about recycling real Christmas trees this year - including feeding them to goats, which I thought was a brilliant idea.
